FEARLESS

The earths spirits now embrace me / they must of took hold / through the souls of my feet / as I stood fearless / long before / I was forced to grow up / in a single moment / when youth was not allowed to make it’s appearance / and I stood there fearless / the days cried out in anger / the nights cried out in shame / I spoke softly , but wished to scream / kept silent by the nobleness of intention / cloaked in embarrassed honesty / I wandered like thunder lost in the rain / surviving by instinct that travels lightly / savouring the sacred time / between / when the brush leaves the paint / and before it strokes the canvas /
I stood fearless / now I live in a basement suite / death hanging around my door / reaching for heaven up above / and the devil grabbing at my feet . Azab
